Black Bean Turkey Chili

    • 2 teaspoons Olive Oil
    • 1 Onion Diced
    • 1 Large Can (28oz) Tomato sauce
    • 1 1/2 cups Beef or Chicken
    • 1 Can Black Beans, Rinsed
    • 1 teaspoon cumin
    • 10 oz Slappin Hot BBQ Sauce
    • 1 lb Turkey Breast cooked and cut into bite size pieces or shredded
    • Salt & Pepper


    1. Optional Toppings: • Crumbled tortilla chips • Shredded cheddar or Monterey jack cheese • Cilantro • Diced Onion • Warmed tortilla strips
    2. Preparation: In a soup pot, bring the oil up to medium to medium high heat. Sauté the onion for 3-4 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for another 2 minutes stirring frequently. Add the tomato sauce, stock, tomatoes, beans, cumin, Slappin Hot sauce, oregano, salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer. Add turkey. Cook for 25-30 minutes. Serve with desired toppings.
